Regrouping and Planning

Had a couple of very long work days, so when I got home very late Thursday night, so I curled up in bed and looked for a movie to watch. I’ve been battling a cold or something for the last week and I was just out of gas in every way you could be.

Thursday was a day with the boss and had started out at the OK Cafe in Buckhead. Finally, we ended up at the Herman Cain Show live event in the McDonough Square a little south of Atlanta. It was a great way to end the day because the people were energized and I got a chance to catch up with old friends. I actually got my first compliment about the blog about school.  It was from a state legislator who had followed me over the years and he said it would be inspiring to other women looking to do new things in their lives.  Thank you!

But what was nagging at me the whole time was what the next steps were for the rest of the semester.  I’ve decided I need to take a few vacation days before exams to just be a student writer.  I need to take the next 48 hours or so and organize and plan my writing schedule for the two projects I have.  One research design and one literature review.

So here’s the checklist. First, set up a time to review the revised research design proposal with my professor.  Second, begin the literature review for my Monday class.  Third, block out my schedule with time for the work needed to complete the projects on time.  Even if I have to change it, blocking out time works best for me to actually get things done.

For the regular readings each week, I’m in a pretty normal cycle. On Saturdays and Sundays, I read for Monday’s class and on Mondays and Tuesdays, I read for Wednesdays class.  Thursday and Friday nights are for catch up and family. Not necessarily in that order.
