Up Early
I know, TMI, but I’m up early re-reading my material for class today. I went through it in lightning speed yesterday because life happened. We had a bit of a family crisis about the time I finished the rough draft and power point of my paper for Wednesday and I knew I had 2 hours until the convo was going to need my attention. I guess this is what you call #worklifebalance.
I usually let the alarm go off and then sleep for another hour calculating how much more time I sleep. In the last years of my radio career (After Congressional Run- ACR), I got up at 3:15 am every morning and prepped the show and was at work by 5 am. I used to be a morning person.
Then my mother-in-law got me the best present ever. An alarm clock that has weather, atomic time and the ability to project on the ceiling the time and temperature. Game changer! So, when I wake up during the night–and let me tell you folks, as you get older, you wake up during the night–I can look up, calculate how much time I have! Woo hoo!
This morning, I’m catching up and getting ready for the school day, before my work day starts.
