As we approach the final stretch of the midterm cycle, I started this week with a conversation with Governor Brian Kemp. We talked about the border issue and how it affects Georgia’s human trafficking and fentanyl issues, and what his administration is doing to fight against it. We also discussed the Heartbeat Bill now that the courts have approved it to go into effect. Finally, we talked about the campaign’s strategy going into November.

Next, Senate candidate Herschel Walker returned to the show to discuss Ag Week and his work with farmers across the state. When addressing the race with current Senator Raphael Warnock, Herschel shared which specific areas he is focussing on in his campaign. And of course, we discussed the upcoming season for the National Champion Georgia Bulldogs.

To close, I talked with Sara McElroy, founder of Raise to Rise. The Great Resignation is gaining steam as 50% of women plan to quit their job in the next two years, according to a Deloitte Global survey. We looked at why this might be the case, and what happens when women do choose to change their working lifestyles.
