The Librarian, My Best Friend
A great deal has changed since I was in school in the 70s. Not the least of which is the library and librarians. I can log onto the UGA libraries from any device I have and access just about everything in the library. I can chat with a librarian on line and there’s a librarian that’s just for my discipline, Political Science. I thought when I met her at orientation, she would be my new best friend, but after I spent some time with her, I knew it.
My purpose of the meeting was to talk about the literature review for one of my classes. Truth be told, I didn’t know what a literature review was. Liz made me feel like I was on track and introduced me to EndNote and RefWorks which will be the answer to my needs in building not only a literature review and/or research design, but also and finally, a dissertation.
I left there feeling I could do this.
